Towards a digital future

Introduction

From books to e-books, filling checkbooks to wiring money or a switch control to remote control, world is becoming digital. Automatic security check or QR code scanning, it is getting digital.

The time is not very far, when you will be carrying a control of all your things in a gazet, let's not call it a mobile phone, I may call it an Omni Pad. Panopticon , which was just a philosophy in 18th century has now became an absolute reality. Lot of works have been done in the field of IoT. As people have their identity, there will come a time all simple household things too will have an identity with the help of IP address. Your works will be done by things and only work you will be left with will be how to make things smarter. Alternatively we may say that our work will be only to make this world a heaven where things will happen just by a wish.

Enablers of digital world

The enablement of digital world is not because of one invention. It was a gradual process and credit goes to the invention of BJTs, FETs, CMOS, Integrated circuits and the Internet. After internet it was satellite communication and optical fiber communication which supported more. Smartphones and Tablets are the latest and the biggest contributor to this revolution. Apart from hardware and software revolution the credit goes to evolution and implementation of human emotion and intelligence also.

Digital Future

Imagine the need of we humans, right from waking up in the morning till bedtime at night, whether it be going to office, cooking or a difficult work like strategizing your investment, everything will be assisted and affected. Either you will get assisted or the work itself will be eradicated.

Impact

Human intelligence has been keeping evolving and similarly the inventions. Digital revolution is just at the top. The need is to use it positively for making world a better, happier and easier place to live rather than bothering about job cut and employment. Work will definitely be there, just life will be easier for everyone either a mom, a teacher, a doctor, an engineer or a researcher. World will be safer, secured and filled with harmony as history reveals that war happened when we lagged resources not the work, and digital world is not going to snatch the resource or the work.
